Not sure how legit this is but someone on umphrey's reddit page said Lotus announced last night that they will be opening for them. If so, I am pretty pumped. Never got a chance to see them.
Looks like this rumor is legit. I am very surprised that Lotus would go from headlining their own gig 5 (?) years in a row to this.

That said, their RR show last year was very empty. Half full at most. I always kind of attributed that to bad timing though.

Hahaha, all you people suggesting they would be better off with out Jake are fucking high, and are arguably stupid. Itís almost as laughable as people who thought the Biscuits would have been better off firing barber and hiring michetti back in 2010/11.... gimme a break

Lol, I remember UM before Jake came on full time and I also knew Jake as his own musician with Ali Babas.  Those were fun nights at Mickeys Pub!  I think if any member was somehow missing I wouldn't be as loyal of a fan.  It was hard enough when Mikey left that I never want to see the line up change again.  We all were very lucky Myers is who he is.

Well said.  Totally agree and soooooo jealous you were around catching them in those early days.  Seeing videos of the rawness of UM as that small SBC bar band, hungry as hell and just working their tails off to make something happen is just awesome.  I bet those nights at Mickey's were crazy...and dirty as hell!

Ringo is definitely one of my favorite songs to catch live.  Big smile everytime I hear those first notes being played...

Yeah, I have always loved this one.  Supah sickness, yeah!  Meow  :bong:

Too much ITB fluff going on right now. I'm not a fan of this one. Vocals are just as cringe worthy as Cut Off.

I actually think In The Black is a decent composition but suffers a bit from them not being able to pull it off vocally. Might be a good one to try for a studio version on though.

It was also the first time it had been played in awhile too.

In the Black hate will always be confusing to me. I don't just find it tolerable, I really like the song a lot.

Sign me up as an In The Black supporter as well. I listen back to the Beacon version from 1/21/2016 pretty frequently (mainly because it comes after that awesome plunger opening jam). I love the final section, its some great triumphant Umphreys.

But it definitely suffers if Bayliss isnt feeling the vocals as much. The most recent play (Asheville? Im too lazy to check) was a bit rough because it seemes like Bayliss didnt want to really go for it at the end.

Alright, everything has been updated.  A couple notes:

- I removed Catshot and Cummins Lies.  They are all recorded on ATU so it was redundant having them listed here.

- I did not include the Booth Love origins bc with the first one listed below it's just a couple notes, the second one listed below is the basis for the intro but unless it was repeated after and prior to Booth's debut in 2010-02-14 Baltimore it is not a repeat stew.

2005-08-24 Asbury Park NJ (DBK) / 2008-04-05 St Louis MO (In The Kitchen)

- I also did not include the Maybe someday origins for the same reason.

2006-12-29 Chicago IL (Blue Echo) / 2007-05-02 Birmingham AL (Intentions Clear)

Any other suggestions for adds are welcome, I'm going to try to stay on top of it moving forward...

Probably Alex's House. I think that was like 2007. I got into them in 2004/05 but the stuff from 06 was good. I like Safety in numbers.
