The lyrical stew in the 01/21/12 Domino is the same as the lyrical stew in the Bottom Half from 09/07/11.

Also, the 01/21/12 August is the same (more or less) as the first section of the 11/05/11 AIT.

That August stew is the same as the 10/23/11 August Stew. The 11/05/11 AIT uses a similar riff, but it's modified to fit into 4/4 instead of 6/4. And the Holidaze Bright Lights is not the same as the 2/11/11 Bright Lights, they just sound kind of similar.

I'm not sure if it's enough to count, but the Domino from Boston and the Rocker 2 from Philly (I think) both used the same B section as the Red Tape from Red Rocks.

Mindblown. How do you make that connection?! I understand your musically inclined and know music theory or what have you, I just wouldve never figured that out. My thought process would've gone a lil somethin like, hmm this sounds familiar, possible tease or something? :bong: and on with listening lol

But thats awesome, I commend thee

haha thanks.  I just listen to the shows I've seen more or less non-stop for a few weeks after seen them, so usually if I hear something that has been played in a show I was at I will recognize it almost immediately.

The second jam in Ringo last night featured a riff that's in both the 9/19/09 All in Time and the 7/19/07 Utopian Fir.

#55
02/09/2010 - Birmingham, AL (Kabump)
02/18/2011 - Nashville, TN (Sociable)[L]

Does 02/15/2012 - Lexington, KY (Sociable) belong on this list, even though they take it in a different direction with no lyrics?

Pretty sure the 4/5/08 jajunk is the same jam as 10/2/10 wappy.

edit:: after listening to them both again, they aren't the exact same but parts of the wappy jam are definitely from the jajunk jam.
Truth. Both sick shows.

Came in here to debunk a few, sorry guys

Both stews open with a similar sounding instrument (one of Joel's), but melodically they are very different.

I'm not sure if it's enough to count, but the Domino from Boston and the Rocker 2 from Philly (I think) both used the same B section as the Red Tape from Red Rocks.

The Domino and Rocker 2 have the same B section, but the Red Rocks Tape's B section is a little different. For one, they're in different keys; for another, the timing is different.

Well if you wanna get technical, they're all in different keys but I don't think that really makes them different.
Red Rocks Red Tape is E > F#, Boston Domino is Bb > C, and Philly Rocker is A > B, but in theory they serve the exact same function within all three of the jams.  They're all going from whatever key they are in (Red Rocks is c#, Boston is g, and Philly is f#) to 1 > 2 in the relative Major key (E, Bb, and A respectively)
The only differences in timings is that the Red Rocks one each chord is held out twice as long and the Philly one is more of a preemptive hit going into the section.

I'd still say they're all more or less the same.

The music theme for this one appeared as an extended intro into Domino Theory the other night at Moogfest, 10/30/11.

#58 (aka "Seasons")
09/23/2010 - Knoxville, TN (pre-GYM) [L]
11/05/2010 - Washington DC (IC) [L]
03/12/2011 - San Francisco, CA (post-Roundabout)

Used as an intro again for Push the Pig on 3/10/12.

"The Riff" needs a number. It's not exactly a stew, just a bad-ass riff that gets thrown in and they take it in whatever direction it goes. Here's the ones I know of.

The Riff
7/11/09 Reso (before G'z and Hustlas teases)
2/9/11 Kabump (end before Wife Soup)
2/11/11 Bright Lights (ending before going back to the "song")
4/17/12 Phil's Farm (last few minutes before returning to Phil's)
