The R2B from 2015-08-20 is one of the best things I've seen this band do.  Incredible stuff towards the end of the jam.

This is probably one of my favorite jams that I've witnessed live.  The way they just take off out of that heavy section is so sweet.

Randomly listened to 11/20/2009 PtP and 3x (birth of Night Nurse) today. Love these spacey, loungey dance grooves.

2006-12-29 August - Always forget how pleasant this improv is.  Jake, Joel, and BB...  This was a great show to start off my first NYE run with the band.

2/10/12 Domino Theory

Sheesh, what a smoker. By far the best DT I've ever heard.

Take a listen to the 6-29-14 version

I'm also a big fan of the 3/12/14 version.  Ashland, OR was never the same after this show.

Was that at the Armory? I love that venue (and Ashland in general). Saw DSO there in '15. What an awesome time it was

Yeah, that was at the Armory.  I didn't make that show - I had done Seattle and Portland earlier in the week.  Wish I had skipped Portland for Ashland, but hindsight being that 20/20 thing...

2007-02-28 The Crooked One - One of my favorite quick peaks with Jake on lead.  He annihilates this one.

Edit:  LOL forgot how they fuck up the return to the song but recover well and just continue a new section of improv.

3/15/07 Triple Wide might be one of my top 10 UM jams of all time.  It exemplifies everything I miss about mid/late 2000's UM.  The patience to allow a simple groove laid down by Stasik to evolve into soaring anthemic peaks on peaks is fucking beautiful.

4/17/12 Reso is an absolute monster.  First jam goes through three different sections; starts as chilled out dnb with swirling keys behind it, then bb starts up a riff that morphs into a dub jam once jake comes in, then moves into heavy riffing before peaking and going back into reso.  This whole show is underrated

7/9/17 In the Kitchen. Great jam from an average show.

Speaking of great jams from average shows:

6/11/10 Turn & Dub. Jesus Christ. This is a very bad and very standard Bonnaroo set but the Turn & Dub is an absolute warzone. After a few minutes of mellow stuff, the jam takes a turn and starts to violently climb to a peak for what feels like forever. Super intense. Highly recommend listening to this.

Nice!  Never heard this one but I'm enjoying it.  That first section of improv was repeated a lot around that time.  This one fizzles out quickly though.  Second jam is an assault.

12/1/07 Resolution.  Timestamp of 15:00 is a bit deceiving, 2nd jam is a fucking 10 minute heater.

I listened to this a few days ago after getting prompted by that sets thread getting bumped. Honestly one of the best jams I've heard from them. Jaw dropped. Loved it
