Updated the intro jazz odyssey and the encore. Thinking back on it, the segue out of MV's jam really only hit the ending of the song, so listing it as going back into MV might not be right.

Tonight's set is delayed until 9pm central because of a nasty thunderstorm that rolled through.

Great looking setlist.  Only encore I know of (and attended) with a similar length would be the encore to that one-time Maine festival in 2008 I believe.  The encore was N2F > In the Flesh > Another Brick > N2F and is about 34 minutes.  Waful's FIRST night on the lights.

Summer 2010 had some great long encores at a couple one set shows

Rochester (Pig > lyric stew > Pig > Crooked  > Anchor > Crooked > CW2) and Hyannis (All In > Hangover, Wappy > Time) come to mind

There's that MV > N2F I've been asking for since MV came out. Looks like a hell of a set. Though I also wanna know about MV > Stew > MV.

OP never said they returned to MV. They have been jamming on the end of it practically since the debut. It should just be MV -> N2F.

Really sad to miss this one as I probably could have pulled it off. They haven't delivered on a Holidaze late night since 2008 though...

The stew out of MV definitely came back very briefly to the outro of the song before the build up into MV, but probably not enough to justify a stew>MV>N2F. Either way, every bit as epic as I imagined it would be.

You obviously didn't listen to their second show from last year.

No, I did. Just forgot about it. Hard to remember shows I wasn't at and I have been going to as many the last couple years (and haven't done Holidaze since 2008). Last night still looks better, though actually pretty similar now that you mention it.

Set One
Nothing Too Fancy > Ocean Billy -> Plunger, Peg, Booth Love* > Miss Tinkle's Overture
Set Two
Hurt Bird Bath, In the Kitchen$, JaJunk, > Ocean Billy, Conduit > Nothing Too Fancy, Ain't No Fun**
Encore
Night Nurse > JaJunk
Notes
* with Superstition jam
$ entire song sung with Spanish lyrics
** with Xxplosive teases

I'm just saying, we get it, they don't have to play Great American every time they play at the Great American, or play Ringo every 4th of July show just cause there's one line about the 4th of July. We get it already!

But if they want to, who cares? I like that they get inspired by their surroundings. Were you there?

Set one from this show is the only set I did not really care for. The all in time jam has no direction. Conduit>bulls>conduit has gotten a little stale.

They killed it the rest of the weekend!

Bright lights was my favorite jam from UM

Ringo and Glory every 4th of July, OB at Holidaze, etc. does get a tad bit predictable.

Jeremy, it does get a little cliche.  Ringo and Glory every 4th of July, OB at Holidaze, etc. does get a tad bit predictable.

they often choose not to acknowledge things via setlist when they totally could.....things that they havent yet done, or done in a while, like perhaps a 4th of july great american opener, or perhaps a "can't find my way home" next time in Pitt.....(too soon?)

They can play Ocean Billy every day if it keeps leading to the jams it has had lately...

This show was the best of the weekend, and not just because it was the only full two-setter.

Everyone came to play.
