Charlotte sold out from what i've heard.  Place was packed but not as much as last years show

Possibly just short. Trying to confirm.

That venue oversells a lot.  What is the listed capacity for that place?

Not anymore.  Now it holds a bunch of nostalgia, and smells like smoke.

Could it be time to take a step up in venue size in certain markets??  Seems that way to me!!

I was wondering the same thing.... Mainly about the upcoming Tahoe date. Wondering if I need to jump on it or if people are holding off till they get there because of last year? Thanks for any info!

I have shared updates on Denver, LA, Sacramento, and Oakland.

Awesome! I just bought my tickets for Seattle, Portland, Boise, Missoula. Amazing that the entire run cost me 100 bucks. Props to the UM team!

It was a no-brainer and doesn't really count but UMBowl sold out pretty much immediately.  I mean it seemed like tickets were trickling out for a little while but there were enough people trying to get tickets right at 12:00pm to consider that an instant sell out.

^ thx for the response.

I hope they keep it at 750 like last year. It was so nice with so much room, but somethings telling me they are going after more $ this year and are going to sell it out to max capacity, in which case, I won't be too happy of a camper.

What makes you assume that?

Not trying to be argumentative, just wondering.  I'd imagine they'd do their best to keep UMBowl special.

I guess just because last year they made such a big deal about advertising it as 750 tix at Park West, whereas this year they haven't mentioned anything of it (even JWelsh doesn't know). I could be wrong, but I feel like if they did only sell 750, they woulda let us know ahead of time?

I get your reasoning, and was wondering the same thing.  I would like to think they would keep it at 750, tho.  I feel like the main reason they switched venues is because so many people were complaining about it being too crowded at UMBowl I when the sent out those questioners, so I doubt they would go back to making it too crowded.  That was the one thing that really set UMBowl II apart for I, IMO.  It was way too fucking crowded the first year.  I gave up on texting almost instantly, because I could barely move my arms.

^ for sure, I hope that you are right and they keep it at 750. UMbowl 1 was terribly crowded, it was fun, but because of the limited space, I didn't have near as much fun as last year. I actually left UMbowl 1 during Q3 to go get a bite to eat across the street because I was so uncomfortable. I realllllllly hope this year is like last year, especially because there is no re-entry.

Edit: emailed KB. They sold 749 tix. He got back to me in 5 min. Just another reason why UM is the greatest band ever, they're so personable w/their fans! F yeah!

750 x $99 = profitable regardless.

I doubt there out there trying to maximize revenues on this type of one-off (annual) "special" show.  You have to remember, there isn't much expense on their part (travel, lodging, rentals) since it's in Chicago.

What's the speculation on when Bonnaroo might sell out?  They are on Price Level 5 which is the last price level.

^^^^

I'm sure B'roo will notify us when they are nearing a sell out.  I know thats what they have done in the past.  I would say you have plenty of time to buy tix, B'roo is just trying to make a little extra $$$$$ is all
