CWll Is very very simple.  Really just that one riff.

Also, I just retabbed Conduit and it should be up there soon.

for cwII im actually more interested in the chords joel is playing and how that could be arranged for guitar.

your conduit is up...well done....The project has begun!

http://www.umphreystabs.com/Conduit.html

Damn, We lost that with old bort too didn't we?
There was somebody who emailed Joel about it and got a response and posted it on the bort.  I know I printed it out, but i'm not sure if i still have it

wow really? I dont remember that at all, that would be sweet.  The notes are G, F, C, so I'm sure they are just some variations of those chords...I've tried to watch Joel and figure it out on the piano so I could then transfer to the guitar, but no luck....and what I want to learn even more is the outro Joel plays on cwII when it's just him solo, chords are different and it sounds so beautiful.....

moving on though....Conduit is in the books, let's move on to 40's theme.

the first hurdle, the little fill that bb and jake play the second time through the intro....most likely in A?? not sure...let's see if we can't figure it out

Jake:
e--------------------------------
B-10h12p10--9h10-------------
G---------------------11----7p6----
D---------------------------------
A---------------------------------
E---------------------------------

BB:
e--9h10p9-7h9p7--2p0---
B---------------------------
G---------------------------
D---------------------------
A---------------------------
E---------------------------

Sounds like that to me.  More or less

Also, the interlude thing is this:
E-----------------------7-4--------------------------------------10-7---------------
B----------------------------6-------------------------------------------9-----------
G-----------------6-9----------7-4-------------------------4-6------------10-7----
D------------5-8--------------------6------------------5-7-----------------------9--
A-------4-7----------------------------------------6-8-------------------------------
E--3-6-----------------------------------------7-9-----------------------------------

As taught to mr. Stanley Jordan right here: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/pk-a_8DQGyA?fs=1&amp;amp;hl=en_US" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/pk-a_8DQGyA?fs=1&amp;amp;hl=en_US</a>

e---------7-7-7-7-4-----------------------------5-5-5-5-2----------------------------------------------------------
B---------7-7-7-7-4----------6s4---------------5-5-5-5-2----------4s2----------4b-4b-4b-4b4-2-------4------2-
G-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------4b-4b-4b-4b4-2---4---4--4--2-
D-----------------------4s6--6s4-------------------------------2s4--4s2------------------------------4------4-----
A---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E--2-3-4----------------------------------0-1-2---------------------------------------------------------------------
I believe

ALSO, and this is a big one.  You hit the open low E string before the second lick at the very beginning, offsetting the lick by a eighth note.
Like this:

E-------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------
G-----------6-9------------6-9-------
D---------7--------------7-----------
A-----6-9------------6-9------------
E---7------------0-7-------------

On an iclips video I watched bayliss did the verses like this for 40s

e|-------------------------------------------------
b|---------------------------------------------------
g|---4------4----2----4---------------------------
d|---4------4----2----4-----------------------------------
a|---2------4----0----2---------------------------------
e|---4------4----2----4------------------------------------
Its an iclips video from summercamp 09. Also the ending jam I think modulates from E to C#min. Its in E up until BB signals Jaco to change it to that C# bit. What I cant figure out is what kind of E it is... sounds maybe lydian or something i cant quite get it

Interesting, I've always wondered what bayliss did during the verses. The thing I just posted is Jaco's part. And yeah it goes from E to C#m when it goes into double time. I'm not sure either though what kind of E I just play E5 so neither major nor minor haha is a cop out

tinkles should be changed to this:

guitar 1
|-8-4-----8-4-----8-4-8-4-----8-4-----8-4-----8-4-8-4-----8-4-----
|-----8-4-----8-4---------8-4-----8-4-----8-4---------8-4-----6-4-
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------

|-7-4-----7-4-----7-4-7-4-----7-4-----7-4-----7-4-7-4-----7-4-----
|-----7-4-----7-4---------7-4-----7-4-----7-4---------7-4-----7-4-
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------

                                   h-p-h-p-h-p-h-p
|-6-4-----6-4-----6-4-----6-4-----4-6-4-6-4-6-4-6-4~--------------
|-----6-4-----6-4-----6-4-----6-4---------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------
|-----------------------------------------------------------------

guitar 2
|-20-16-------20-16-------20-16-20-16--------20-16-------20-16-------20-16-20-16-------20-16-------
|-------20-16-------20-16----------------20-16-------20-16-------18-16---------------20-16-------20-16-

I disagree about Tinkles . The first few notes are

---8--4------------7--4-----------6-4--------
-----------6--4------------7-4-----------6-4
----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------

Obviously there's more notes for each little position, but its definitely like that. I'm a a wee bit tipsy so I'm not sure if this makes as much sense, this is really lazy tabbing

I pulled that straight from the official tab book.  When you do the harmonies together it sounds like the way you wrote it, and how it was originally posted.

Why not just start the threads for the songs that already have updates and quote the posts relating to them in the OP?

Those who are able should transcribe to sheet music. That would be so cool.

wow I don't know if I have the patience to do that, but if you give me some parts of songs you want, that could be a good jumping off point that might motivate me to do more...
