Just got around to listening to this one...really liked the 2x2 > Liquid -> 2x2 segment as well as hearing the KaBump into the live debut of Dim Sun.

As for the second set, while the song choice is certainly pleasing, there were sections in the composed parts of OoO and VoP that sound pretty sloppy.  That is of course completely overshadowed by the stew > Q*Bert > return to the stew and then the ending where they double the tempo with Jake's solo over it.  UM Gold right there.  The Triple Wide/DFTR segment is pretty good as well as the Linear jam.  Overall, a very strong set.

It's true there is some sloppiness in there, but then again i forgive that since they play these tunes like 3 times a year now.  Also, OoO is an very difficult song to play and the timing is not easy, which isn't to say that they shouldn't nail it 'cuz it's their own song and they rehearse, but I'm inclined to give them a pass here.  Myers actually does a great job of getting back on track- if you didnt know the song I doubt you would hear the mistake.  Maybe it's just cuz my band used to cover it so I know how easy it is to fuck it up.

Either way, even w/ mistakes I have been rocking the hell out of this set this last week.  Very fun, great replay value.

There were a lot of mistakes throughout the entire run, but I don't really mind.  Ties in with that UM is Human Thread.  Stasik said that they rehearsed for three hours before this show and that they tried a lot of rare songs before they realized they just didn't know them well enough.  Thats probably where some of the sloppiness comes from.  Tried too many too few times rather than a few a whole bunch of times

listened last night, and this is easily one of my favorite shows I have heard from this year--and not just because of the rarities. Stasik ruled face in this show--forgot which jam, but one of them he just led the shit out of

This was the Failed Cues ter.  Some really big fuck ups.  (Roulette, YYZ, and the less extreme OoO, VoP)

Pretty please UM, let this be a repeated stew in the future!  Still haven't stopped listening to it.

I feel like I'm hearing a tease in the 3x jam before Reaper.  Sounds like a classic rock song but I can't place it.  Similar chord prog with Joel doing a little bit of the melody.  Anybody help me out?

Ninja was supposed to be played at this show, but they scrapped it after soundcheck because they didn't have enough time to work on it

I hope the VOP/QBert stew is on the ballot for Q4 at UMBowl...  It would be great to hear them play this riff again.

Listened to this show again for the first time in awhile and forgot how much I loved it.  For me, the best parts are Kubump>set and the whole opening seguefest of the 2nd set.  The stew>qbert>stew is hawt fiyahhhh!

So this afternoon I was just putzing around on archive at work (being very productive, obviously) looking for a setlist that was "off the beaten path" to play this afternoon and my eyes about popped out of my head when I found this one. This show is every bit as good as it looks. The dance parties and singalongs are fun, but I love shows like this where they just experiment with the Kabump jam, with the unusual 2x2 sandwich, and with that whole VOP - QBert section. Not my favorite show I've ever heard, but I love it when they push themselves like this. Both sets are really a "journey" more than a collection of songs.
