Agree with the Plunger being way overrated. The first half of the jam takes so long to develop. Mantis from the next night deserves the hype. Though, 1348 from N1 might still be my fav jam from the run

I really enjoyed the Red Tape as well, but I’m a whore for that song in general with any improv.

That whole show seems to be sliding under the radar. Blue Echo, 1348 and Ringo are all fantastic and I think the Bridgeless is pretty dope too

Little Gift jam is money. Gonna relisten today but I really liked it even with the short length.

That 1348 might be my favorite jam of the run, although I haven't listened back to the Mantis yet

Awesome 1348. I just finally listened back to it, good shit. I love the Ringo too but the improv being split into 2 jams means it doesn't belong in this thread.

2.15 Plunger
1.12 Ocean Billy
1.31 Robot World
1.25 Hurt Bird Bath
2.16 Mantis

IMO the top 5 right now in my preferred order. You could pick any 1348 this year (2/1 included if you ask me but even more so 1/26 or 2/14) and throw it on the list as an honorable mention. That song has been fucking delivering since 12/30.

This jam just comes up a little short IMO.  The first half is pretty disjointed with some awkward Jake playing.  But the jam really comes together nicely over the final 2-3 mins when BB starts that last riff and Jake finds his pocket and plays a really tasteful solo.

Agree 100% with your top 5.

I would reorder to put Mantis first, RW and OB tied for second but also agree with the top 5.

Yeah, would come down to personal taste, but I dig the more ambitious out-there material of the other jams over the more straight ahead dancey Mantis jam.

Guess I need to relisten to BK 1348 and Red Tape. I wouldn't have put them on this list as contenders.

Agree as well, but I put OB on top because of its uniqueness.  The ones that really do it for me are the ones that blow my brain apart.  And Plunger sort of does that, but the OB was instant smithereens.

Agree 100% with your top 5.

Yeah I listened to this yesterday and I love it. I think it's in my top 5 for sure, you nailed the same feeling I have. That BK run was so strong, so many good jams.

I might squeeze the 1348 above the Mantis.
