looks like uncle wallace went to bed for those who care

set 2:

Front Porch > When the World is Running Down You Make the Best of What's Around, Alex's House -> I Cant Go For That/Wanna Be Startin Somethin medley-> Alex's House, Soul Food I, Go to Hell, 40's Theme

Encore:

All in Time

Thanks homie

All In Time encores are such a waste of improv.

A bit presumptuous, IMHO.....we'll see how that pans out.

All In Time encores are such a waste of improv.

Could have been decent-  WtWiRDYMTBOWA: typically isn't too long I don't believe. Alex's House split with a cover medley...presumably shouldn't be too long. Go to Hell is new and hasn't really gotten much improv yet. Of course those are all assumptions but the set could have been shorter allowing for a longer encore or maybe they had extra time, venue could have let them slide a bit. Regardless, AIT is always a good tune to hear, especially an excellent note to leave a show on IMO.

This is true, but unfortunately a large majority of my AITs were stuck in an encore slot, and they are usually rushed, which can make the whole song suffer. Even the outro isn't as epic then. Can only speculate about this one tho, so we shall see

Exactly, the few times I have seen it in the encore slot, it has always felt very rushed, and as a result, doesnt pack the same punch that it does when they have the chance to slowly build up the momentum, toss in some tasty improv, and then just launch a full blown assault on the outro.  All In Time is one of my favorite songs, but I just don't think it belongs in the encore slot.  It works best as a set opener, or closer, IMO.

........and the anticipation begins. Show definitely looked like a fun, loose, good ol' time. Wonder what attendance was like, not only in regards to size but also if it was mainly kids on ter or a good portion of people in/around/reasonable driving distance of Billings?

Not a bad show for buttfuck egypt!

Seems like these off-market shows are special(sleeper) because it's mainly kids who are on ter that will be at these shows because they are en route to UM's usual popular markets or if they just want to try these off-the-beaten-path cities for a change or scenery/chance to see their draw in that region or just go for it and take the risk of the off-beat market flopping (which doesn't seem to be any region/market for UM as they traverse the country well.)

I am curious why they didn't drive another two hours down the road and play Bozeman.  It's a college/mountain town, Billings is on the edge of nothingness.

Does anyone know 1 motherfucker that showed up to this show?

I'm assuming the collective amount of shows the crowd had seen was 2, maybe.

They were suppose to be.  I sent Akash a text about Sat at the Fillmore being close to being sold out (in case any of them slackers don't have tix yet), and heard nada back as well.

Edit: They were there.  Said it was a really young crowd.  Akash had to break up a fight in the 2nd set I guess.  "GREAT show" was his exact words.  Also claims that Jake's kid was on stage.
