***UPDATED 10/26/11 FOR THE START OF FALL TOUR PART II SCORES***

To go along with the Pick Three thread, I'll be keeping the "official" results in this post and updating after every show (or every few shows if I'm busy).  I've developed a handy little spreadsheet to track each user's picks for all shows and will keep a running points total starting with yesterday's show.

***RULES***

1. pick the opener (5 points; 3 points if played in a slot other than the opener)
2. pick a song  (3 points)
3. pick a song (3 points)
4. pick a cover (5 points)

Post your 4 song choices AND the date/location of the show (in case I have to go back and look after some time has passed) in the Pick Three thread: http://www.thebort.com/index.php/topic,1798.0.html ( DO NOT POST PICKS IN THIS THREAD).  Picks must be in by showtime!

-Songs that have multiple iterations (Mantis/Mantis Ghetts, Turn and Dub/Turn and Run, etc.) are separate songs.
-A bonus will be given to anyone who correctly guesses all three songs (and a further bonus if the cover is guessed as well).  All three songs right is an extra 2 points.  All three songs PLUS the cover right is an extra 3 points.
-If only one person guesses a song and it ends up being played, that player is awarded an extra 2 point bonus for originality.  This includes covers.  This went into effect starting with the 2/16 show and will not be implemented retroactively.

All discussion about the picks, the rankings, the prizes, and anything else should be discussed here.  If you have a question about scoring, think I've added wrong, or have any comments, feel free to post them here or PM me as well. 

Please take a look at the "as of" date for the scoring updates before you post in the thread or message me saying I have done something wrong.  I will also be posting the scores for each individual night in the topic, so if I haven't posted the scores for a date in the thread, it's not going to be reflected in the overall ranking.

Fall Tour Part II begins!  Here are the results that include the first two shows.  As mentioned before, I'll be keeping two totals - one cumulative since the start of this tour, one starting with the 10/19 Lincoln Hall show!  I'm also going to be more diligent about keeping up with this so people stay interested.  As always, if people have questions/comments about their scores, let me know.  I updated the spreadsheet a little bit to make it a little easier on me, so even though I did some testing, it's always possible I made a mistake.

***UPDATE - 09/28/11***

I apologize to all of you who have been waiting for a scoring update.  I was in Europe for a while and then swamped with work trying to catch up on what I missed, so I didn't get around to finishing the score totals until just now.  I promise to be more timely going forward so people actually know where they stand, which makes it a little more exciting especially toward the end.

Anyway...after the first half of the Fall Ter, we have a new leader/champion (see below*).  Shpongled leads everyone with a total of 97 points, closely followed by Andys first bong who has 90.  MrChef, BrockSamson, and our reigning champion Banamana round out the top 5 with 85, 80, and 78 points respectively.  The full breakdown up through the 9/25 show can be seen below.

*Since the boys are on break for nearly a month (and I want to get back into the game after missing this half), I'm proposing that we split this tour into two halves and start the point totals over with the 10/20 show up until (but not including) the New Year's run.  For those of you that have been playing this whole time and don't want to do this, I'm not opposed to having two running totals and declaring a full Fall Tour champion as well as 1st and 2nd half champions.  Anyone have thoughts?

I was thinking about that too, maybe instead of just Cover, it can be Cover or Rarity.  Song that is played less than 5 times/year. im sure we could compile a list of choices for that

well, if you get all 3, its 9 points anyway right? id say an extra point for each(12). if you get the opener right, and the other two, that'd be 11. I say 15. But that could get complicated, so I don't care either way.

Please read my post above and my score as-of date. I have not updated yet for yesterday, so everyones totals are not accurate. I will do yesterday and tonights shows tomorrow.

Turn and run and turn and dub are separate songs.

I'll tentatively say for now that jazz odyssey does not count as the opener and the song it goes into is the opener. I think just like Jimmy Stewart, jazz odysseys should not be a valid choice.

Official Post has been updated with the scores to include Denver and Lawrence!  A few new rules/clarifications have been added in the OP too...to highlight:

-Songs that have multiple iterations (Mantis/Mantis Ghetts, Turn and Dub/Turn and Run, etc.) are separate songs.
-We've had our first person pick three songs correct (also picked the cover too, so a perfect night other than getting the opener right), so I have implemented the bonus scoring.  All three songs right is an extra 2 points.  All three songs PLUS the cover right is an extra 3 points.  This is reflected in Shpongled's score.

As always, if you have questions, send me a PM or post it here.  If you don't think your score is reflected correctly, please look at the "as of" date in the OP.  I probably can't update every single day, but I'll try my best...if I'm a few days behind, your score won't be reflected yet!

Another thought I've had is an extra bonus point for someone who guesses a song that no one else has guessed.  It's relatively easy to stick to the heavy hitters and assume over the course of 7 or 8 shows, you'll hit a Tinkles or an ITK, but guessing something like Uncommon or Pequod is a much riskier play, so I think there should be a reward for this as well.  Any objections?  I was thinking an extra 2 points for this.
