12/30 > Boston.... All day.

fyp

12/29 is miles and miles ahead of 12/30, at least as far as improv goes.  12/30 is still in my top 10 for the year tho, just due to setlist, but I've actually heard all of those rare songs, with the exception of Dear Lord, on multiple occasions.  so while it still floored me, it didn't have the same punch it would have if I wasn't already use to seeing those songs.

I'm quite sure getting the rare songs has made this show a bit better in my head.  But for me, the highlight of the whole run was the plunger jam.  Absolutely beautiful piece of music.  I put that well above the reso or tribute jam from the night before.  2nd set of the 29th was very meh to me.  Can't stand a lot of the songs that were played, a love supreme felt very forced to me, especially being in my least favorite UM song.  Not to mention the TV on the radio cover.. .  Overall I felt like the 30th was a better show.  Set list writing has a lot to do with it for me.  But I can also blame myself for hating most of the songs from set 2.  I see them too much and those are the songs they're gonna push.

YES. I'm hoping this year's House or Rules show is something like 2009's. Which I thought was quite the dance party!

Bringing a few n00bs which is why a dance party would be ideal for them. But honestly, all I want is a solid Triple Wide. Haven't heard one in too long.
