Bring back Stasik solos (with or without America the Beautiful).

But only in sets I charge 200 plus for

Less reliance on Live Nation venues.   Wait, that's probably impossible, never mind.

More additions of highlight songs to the UM Youtube channel

Little things here and there, but IMO this band is managed damn well. They really care about the fans. Maybe New Years Eve shows in atypical locations?

But could they play 13 shows without repeating a song?  That would be interesting to see.

They did 7 in a row for stum ter.  Throw in a bunch of improv and some covers and they could totally do it if they wanted

I'd have them take 1-2 years off.  They've never taken off and I think it could be really good for the band and music.

I’ve been meaning to ask if you are Nick for awhile now...

Also, I strongly disagree.  The band came out with two albums this year filled with lots of really strong material (imo) and had a strong year from an improv standpoint.  Why do they need to take time off?  You are crazy.

Weren’t those one set shows?  I’m sure they could if they wanted to like any other band could, except Phish actually did do it.

Let's say average of 14-15 songs per show. UM has roughly 300 originals including retired songs and they've played a total of ~600 different covers. If they play two covers per night, that's only 150-170 originals over 13 shows. Easily doable.

Hey Dan!  Yeah, it's me though you know most folks know me around here as Andrew  ;)  The albums were okay for me.  "It's Not Us" had studio versions of a few songs that were already cool--Remind Me and Speak-- and Half Delayed was the only new one that stood out.  Others are okay, nothing special for me.  "It's You" is kinda in the same ballpark, liked flashes of freshness.  The albums were better than recent previous efforts but that's not saying much.  Admittedly I have not been listening to everything they did this year but I'll usually make the effort to listen to stuff people say stood out and I just shake my head most of the time.  It's not that interesting.  The fire moments and really stand out interesting improv seem so rare.  Band has never taken a break.  It'd be nice IMO.  Take some time with the fam.  Play some side shows.  Hit the studio here and there.  Have most of the year off.  No live UM shows for a year.  I think it would do the band a lot of good to really hit another strong stride--one that is consistent.  I admit I was a fluffer '04-'07 but since then I try to be pretty level headed about the band and their playing.  You still see dozens of shows every year you fluffy, crazy bastard!   ;D

If they took a break they would come back with a terribly lacksadasical tour schedule. They’d probably end up playing 40ish fire shows a year. We can’t give them time to realize how mich they love and enjoy their families lmao.

Not sure who mentioned rotating holidaze and jam in the dam - but jam in the dam is donezo.  Last one was almost 7 years ago now.  Organizer/founder of that got pretty sick if memory serves.  Not sure if he's still living or not.  But yeah that will probably never happen again.  The whole jam in the dam era was a great period for the second tier jam scene.
