It pains me i cant make this run, i love the Riverside! Best venue in the Midwest. I'll be at the Detroit run the following month. Anyone ever take the train from Chicago to Detroit?

I am thinking train is the way to go after all the weather we'v hit coming back from this run in years past.

You should, one of the best indoor venues they play. It probably won’t sell out but with them not playing here in a while hopefully people turn out and sell out at least one night if not both.

Train not exactly weather proof either. Wait til you get stuck for 5 hours cause a freight train snapped a rail in the -5 below.

But the alternative of driving through Western Michigan during a lake effect blizzard doesn't really sound better. Just checking airfare and it's $175 round trip lol

Pabst is amazing. Absolutely beautiful venue. One of my favorite rooms anywhere. Same drink options & prices, & same security. Whether a show is at the Pabst or Riverside, the security is affected by the crowd/band. You can get away with whatever that band’s crowd is all doing. If the crowd is older & not partying, stick to a pen vs flower. You won’t get kicked out of either place unless u do something really blatantly stupid.

Edit: I’m still really bummed that UM never played the Pabst. They were just too big once they left finally the Eagle’s Ballroom behind.

Also the top balcony of the Pabst is one of my fav places to sit. Often uncrowded but still amazing view.

Agree, Josh. Pabst is easily one of my favorite rooms and it is too bad UM never got to play there. It's essentially the Riverside but a bit smaller and better sound. Not discounting the sound at the Riverside at all...seriously, the sound in that room is unreal.

Anyway...super pumped for hometown UM!
