Only saw one show in Detroit. Think it was February 2011? Blizzard occurred that day. Took like seven hours to drive from Columbus. But that show ripped. That 1348.

Yeeeeesssssss. I will never, ever forget that 1348. Ever. I don't think I've personally witnessed a bigger peak than when Bayliss drops into the ascending power chords to lock in with Stasik's bassline while Jake's just absolutely screaming with that crazy (new at the time) octave/delay combo. Holy moly, even on tape that shit still just kicks you right in the fucking face.

Spinnin that one today FASHO

I don't think there has ever not been a blizzard during the feb fillmore runs. 2014 was so bad I saw a van full of people going to um lose control in the snow and launch into the air, landing on it's side. thankfully everyone was okay. loved that death trap drive.

Driving home from the 2015 Fillmore shows was quite the adventure.

Went to Cincy for that fir, and then onto Detroit for some rock. We wanted to make it back in time for the super bowl so we left immediately after the show in blizzard conditions. We were driving quite slow except for when a truck would pass, when a truck passed we would have a good 5 miles of smooth and grippy driving in the truck's tire tracks before the truck would gain too much ground and the tire grooves would become worthless. Did that for about 7 hours.

I ending up falling asleep as my buddy was driving with 6/27/09 biscuits set II playing. I woke up and he was still listening to the show because it had restarted. His response was "it was too white knuckle to fuck with the radio, plus it's really good anyways."

Surely. That sells well and they love the town. One of my favorite runs of the year.

Anyone have legitimate deetz this year? I feel like we often have a few kang'd rumors by now..
as a MI resident, I feel very confident in them playing the Detroit Fillmore x2,

Feels like Detroit is due for a few dates. GR got the love last year. Though they have to check with the weather service and make sure they're here on the coldest and most miserable weekend of the year. It's tradition. Greensky pulled this off last February with Fri/Sat shows during the worst 2-day snowfall of the year. UM, you've gotta step it up.

GR got the same amount of shows in 2017 that Detroit did, one was a festival set, and the same amount in 2018, 0.  I HIGHLY doubt a GR date would prevent a Detroit date, so I guess I'm kind of lost as to what you're implying here.

Sorry, Kinda of misspoke there when I said "last year" since I was referring to 2018 (last winter). Two GR shows, no Detroit show. Kind of figured they chose between the two locations and went with GR in 2018. So Detroit's turn in 2019, I'm hoping.

Not sure what you're talking about dude, GR hasn't had a show since Founder's Fest 2017.  If you're referring to the two Kzoo shows then we'll use the same logic and say that Milwaukee basically got a show this year because they played in both Madison and Chicago, which roughly equate the distance from GR to Kzoo.
